20050820 Heelis

Heelis was the real name of Beatrix Potter and is now the name given by The National Trust to it's new head office in *Swindon's Railway village.

Although environmentally efficient, I don't find the building at all attractive and it jars with *Brunel's engine sheds that surround it.

It has a degree of photogeny, and may grow on me, I suppose.

(*Swindon was the centre of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Great Western Railway)

It is interesting. Quite a design juxtaposition. Very contemporary. Well composed.

Have to agree on the building...it's badly placed. Don't know that Beatrix would like her name associated with it do you :>)
