20050814 Spitfire Lady

Kidlington, England

This is the lady owner and pilot of the world's only two-seater Spitfire WW2 Fighter plane.

Taken a short while before her display at the Blenheim Festival of Flight today.

She told a lovely story of once landing at Oxford airport in this Spitfire to collect her daughter to take her home for her vacation from Oxford University.

There is quite a story behind this plane I believe. Saw it recently at Duxford though no flying due to poor weather. I believe it got pranged the other year but nice to see it back in full working order.
