20050426 From Tree To Infinity

I set out to capture the trees around the ancient Wayland's Smithy burial chamber.

I was intrigued how the bark that had been carved by bad boys, young lovers etc had healed over the years - And the resulting texture.

So this lead to a series of 'up the trunk' shots! I liked this one with the spring leaves the best.

Ooh, this is very cool. Great composition, love those squiggly branches at the top of the frame. The deep DOF is really nice here.
