Yesterday it was confirmed that MG Rover - the last full scale, British owned motor manufacturer - went broke.
6,000 workers redundant; millions of Pounds missing; and assets like the

Rover name, engine design and rights to current models are all gone.
The MG name remains, but it's suspected this may have been hived off to another company owned by the four directors, who it is reported have paid themselves big bonuses.
Today, Tony Blair visited the plant in Birmingham and has announced an investigation into the financial accounts - perhaps there's an election coming soon?!
