A tail of Elephants and Eagles

For the past week there has been a very rare visitor in Weardale, a White Tailed Eagle!
Exactly a week ago it was seen flying from Pikestone Fell (the Elephant Trees) towards Bollihope.
On Monday it was photographed above Bollihope Common with a rabbit in it’s claws.
This morning I could barely find the Elephants never mind an Eagle.

What a great place...I'm still in awe. The Eagle would have been a bonus but I'm more than happy to see "the Samster !! " and of course the Elephants :)

Great focal point and atmosphere in this image. An incredible tree formation in the background and a great capture of your dog. Voted

you'll just have to keep an eagle eye out for it

Doesn't look like Sam had any difficulty finding his ball.
Great moody mistiness.

I am sure its there somewhere and I am sure a dog is more responsive

Even the eagles don't go out on days like this John. Great mood piece of the elephants though.

Hope you get to see it. Wonderful foggy scene.

Where's Ozzy? Not been carried off by the eagle, I hope.

I hope that you get an opportunity to spot the eagle. :)
