Dr David Bellamy

Anybody who knows me will know I rarely do photos of people. Today was an exception.
As part of the village hall 100th anniversary there was a walk led by Dr David Bellamy.
Even the rain didn't dampen his enthusiasm.
A walk that would normally take an hour took five!

What a lovely shot, he must be about a 100 now. He's looked quite old for as long as I can remember.

Great portrait of a great man, I have always loved his enthusiasm - ranks up there with Johnny Morris to my mind.

Great shot, full of character. And if he studies a butter cup(?) so intently, I can only imagine all the other plants he stopped and looked at and taking the time.

Sounds like something I would have enjoyed!

I don't think anything would dampen his enthusiasm for ife...he could be looking at nature for the first time the way he's viewing that flower and we know that isn't so !! Great shot, John. !!

The walk would have taken 5 hours if it was a pbase meet as well though.
A very knowledgeable man, I bet you had a great time.
