River Teign Boulders & Roots

Big moss-covered boulders and tangled tree roots characterise the edges of the river Teign as it flows through a deep valley/gorge below Castle Drogo towards Fingle Bridge. A really nice walk (for the able bodied as there are steep ups and downs) that takes about an hour each way can be had from Dogmarsh Bridge near Sandy Park to Fingle Bridge and back - or vice versa as there is plenty of parking and an inn at Fingle Bridge. See my picture of Fingle Bridge itself and its caption for more information.
