We spent the morning at Wakulla Springs south of Tallahassee. It was terrific. We started out by watching dozens of manatees blundering around which was cool. They don't move too quickly. Then we took a boat ride down the river from the spring and saw tons of interesting wildlife, especially birds. It was a very pleasant, sunny morning. I took along my 100-400 and snapped quite a few pictures. I am still not really very competent with it, but I did manage to get a few good ones. I liked this one of the kingfisher best. The rest of the day we spent at Mission San Luis (very interesting) and the Florida state capitol. Also interesting. We headed back to the hotel at the end of the day and had a feast of Subway sandwiches and a bottle of wine. Life is good!
