Today was a travel day. We drove from Pensacola to Tallahassee along the coast. I am not a beach person. I consider going to the beach something to be avoided. As we drove along through the deserted tourist meccas, I kept thinking to myself that I am happy we are not staying, especially in the summer time when the area is probably mobbed with people. We did stop for a few minutes at Pensacola Beach and walked on the squeaking sand to the water. It was cold. Ginny touched the water and we said enough and headed out. In all we spent about seven hours driving a relatively short distance. At the end of the drive we stopped at Wakulla Springs for a short reconnaisance and decided that would be part of our activities tomorrow.
