I was driving around today and I got to thinking about gas prices and some other stuff. You have probably noticed around your house that gas prices have risen while the price of oil is still in the 30's. This is no coincidence. This is because your US government has allowed oil company mergers over the last 20 years. There is no competition. Yeah, big oil will say that there is, but that is crap. Oil companies don't have to collude to keep prices up because they are led my smart people and the barriers to entry are very high. This is unlike the airlines which apparently are led by nincompoops and anybody with a little cash can get an airplane and start flying. So it goes.

On another subject, here in the colonies we have a new plan to spends trillions to get the economy to recover. I note that these are the same b*st*rds that got us here in the first place. I must tell you that they are only going to screw it up more. Not only are they going to screw it up more, but they are taking us down the primrose path to socialism. There should be a law against career politicians, but remember who makes the laws!
