For Valentine's breakfast this morning, I prepared bagels, cream cheese and lox along with orange juice. You are probably thinking that wasn't much preparation. You're right. The hard part was sneaking all the components home. I had a cooler in the back of the van, so I kept the salmon and juice in it. The hardest part was smuggling the ice out there. Nothing in this house goes unnoticed by Ginny, as the boys well know. When I got back from the store I got lucky, she was upstairs talking to her girlfriends on the phone. With that cover, I could quietly open the freezer and get some ice. We had a nice breakfast and opened cards and presents. I gave her some tulips, one of my favorite flowers. As a child, I remember them peeking up under the snow in the early spring (in Chicago) and always thought that was kinda neat.
