One of Ginny's favorite things to do on Christmas eve is to tour the neighborhoods and look at the Christmas lights. That is what we did tonight. I think we have been doing this every year we have lived in Houston (28 years). Tonight we went out as usual. It was a lot of fun. Richard did the driving and David sat in the back seat and munched on turkey and dressing left-overs. It was a lot of fun. It seemed that there were fewer lights this year than in the past. So it goes.

I think someone ought to think about the carbon footprint of a welfare state.

I think Dave's comment should have been a private one. Don't want to give liberals any ideas.

Pretty soon someone will preach about the carbon footprint of Christmas lights.
