The Dornier Do J N25 used by Roald Amundsen in his attempt to fly to the North Pole in 1925
Two aircraft the N24 and N25 set out for the Pole on 21 May 1925 and landed on drift ice at latitude 87°43' N. after eight hours of flight
N24 had been damaged and could not be flown out, after three and a half weeks of clearing a take off strip N25 took off carrying both crews and landed off the north coast of Svalbard an archipelago between Norway and the Pole
