A graduation parade at No. 4 Wireless School in Guelph, Ont
During WW2 a large portion of the Ontario Agricultural College (now U of G) was taken over by the RCAF as a training base.
It's main function was the training of air radio operators at #4 Wireless School and the training of RCAF chefs, there were also radio mechanic trainees and test kitchens. Aprox 8000 RCAF personnel were trained in Guelph
A large portion of the air radio operators who graduated from the school served in the RAF, particularly in Bomber Command. Of the 5800 air radio operators who graduated over 1000 lost their lives in action.
