Yes, by that reasoning the birds must get a real kick out of being killed.
There are people who only exist to give shape to the left side of the curve.
Definitely one of those choices Derek.
At this time of year the pond in Bushy Park is a hive of activity.
There is a huge amount of ducks, geese, and seagulls waiting for food.
You only have to rustle a paper bag and in seconds about two hundred birds are whirling around you vying for a good position as the food is distributed.
Also very sadly there is a large amount of dog owners who refuse to put their dogs on a lead by the pond. They take great delight in watching their dogs chase the birds, even jumping into the water to harrass them.
The dogs kill a lot birds in the nesting season, where the very young birds are unable to get away.
I asked one owner why he had just let his dog jump into the pond and chase every bird feeding away. He said "The birds like being chased, it is natural for them".
At that point I decided reasoned argument was not the way to go.
And seeing as he was built like a brick sxxxhouse and just as intelligent, I moved away slowly.
