"Freedom"

Centurion, South Africa

"Freedom" started its life upside down!

A lone dandelion seed hung on a tread with some "sticky stuff",
fixed at a slight angle. (To simulate the impact of wind and movement.)
The blue "sky" was a sheet of blue paper and
the bright "sun" was an off-camera flash.
Some experimentation was required to find a suitable position for the flash.

And it was interesting "composing" the shot upside down!

This image: processed from RAW and some dust spots removed;
otherwise "straight from the camera".

Post-processing was in PhotoShop Element 4.0:
crop, noise reduction, some more dust spots and other irritants cloned out,
the thread, etc. cloned out, some levels adjustments.

See the final version here.
