I was hoping to see some White-tailed Ptarmigan, Gray-crowned Rosy Finches, Mountain Goats, Pikas and Marmots at the top of the mountain. The only birds I noticed were Pine Siskins flying overhead. The only mammal was this fellow - a one-eared Golden-mantled Ground Squirrel that looks like a cross between a Red Squirrel and a chipmunk except much bigger!
