Although squirrels are common in my neighbourhood, where I work, and in the conservation areas that I visit, this is the first baby squirrel I can recall seeing. He was adorable!

Black squirrels are actually the same species as the gray ones, just a different colour morph; both are known as the Eastern Gray Squirrel.
