This butterfly showed up in my backyard in July 2007. Now, two years later, I have confirmed with local butterfly experts
Ross Layberry and Peter Hall that it isn't an Eastern Comma, as I originally thought, but the more uncommon Grey Comma!
The silver comma shape is very thin and check-mark shaped, a distinct characteristic of this species.
