6/2: Coffee Between Friends

Unfortunately I only had my telezoom lens with me and was unable to get wide shots of these two interesting gentlemen and their animated conversation.

this are really excellent portraits!

The one you've chosen is an excellent portrait, but I love the set of four shots together. They are dynamic portraits which shows the dynamic relationship between them. Great work!

Great portrait! You did a great job at capturing the personality... Sometimes it pays to get close, I think it´s a good thing you did´t have wider lense..

This are outstanding. This one here my favorite of the group but they are all great. These are definitely my kind of portraits. This one looks a bit like an age progressed Gary Shandling.

Magnificent serial of portraits, I adore your use of Black and white.
Every expression on their faces here is priceless.
My compliments for capturing such a special monemt.

What a quadruple montage this would be! Excellent, all of them.
Tor04-Jun-2005 09:20
Great expressions and b&w treatment. Did they notice you sticking your telezoom up against them? ;)
Guest 04-Jun-2005 05:18
wow. just wow.
Di04-Jun-2005 02:38
Fantastic candids, Jeremy, made perfect by the b&w. Well done!
Guest 04-Jun-2005 00:38
Exceptional candids - great work here. I'm thinking that I like the intimate shots here better than what I envision the two together to be.
Chris04-Jun-2005 00:33
Little Antonis, American-style. I like his photos, not for the technical brilliance, but for the way they exude personality. I think this does both of those things too. At length, it's as nice as it would be from 50mm and it spits style and attitude. Old fella rocks and you caught it well.
David Clunas03-Jun-2005 23:44
perfect. in every sense!
Guest 03-Jun-2005 23:38

Nice candid shots!
Today's lesson: Always put the wide angle lense in your pocket.
Guest 03-Jun-2005 21:54
Very expressive pose
Gary Winters03-Jun-2005 18:04
Jeremy -- THIS IS WONDERFUL!! I love street candids. Good work, you found a fantastic face to shoot. More! More!
Robin Reid03-Jun-2005 15:39
Actually just getting this top one is probably the best anyway. Powerful portrait. Very well done JR.
Gayle P. Clement03-Jun-2005 14:31

This and the one where he is gesturing are fantastic. I love the b&w treatment and their expressions. Wonderful shots, Jeremy.

But you caught some great expressions...I have tried to look at yesterdays tree shot but just can't get it to download, as opposed to this one that opened in a blink of an eye. But, have to tell you Jeremy that trees never bore me either & I'm surrounded by them.
Vinh Luu03-Jun-2005 06:10
i like the one you chose for the PAD. he's got an introspective look, which is a story element in itself.
Guest 03-Jun-2005 05:23
Very nice candid...for a second there I thought it was Norman Mailer... :)
Cliff03-Jun-2005 05:13
Interesting faces and expressions - nicely done using this focal length.I wish my b&w tonal range turned out this well.
