One of the amazing sights in Burma is seeing elderly women smoking huge cheroots (Burmese cigars) like in this picture.

I was waiting for this shot. Everyone who comes to Bagan finds it incongruous. You can make an image such as this more effective by not including as much white, which tends to pull the eye away from the double incongruity of the woman smoking a huge cigar. My own version of this subject is athttp://www.pbase.com/image/40189595 I looked for a woman in the shadows so I could reduce the emphasis on the light colored clothing and stress the smoke.
