The double-tiered stone staircase Chongun-kyo & Paegun-kyo (Blue and White Cloud Bridge) leads to the main worship hall, Taeungjon, of Pulguksa Temple, fronted by an expansive courtyard dominated by two unusual stone pagodas. The smaller (8.3m high) of the two pagodas is called the Sokka-t’ap, and the large (10.5m high) pagoda is known as the Tqabo-t’ap. Both stone pagodas are considered premier examples of ancient Korena pagoda construction from the Silla period.
