Enjoy

I had a long day. I had a very long day.
I had class this morning and then I had a new construction home to clean.
This is hard work. This is very hard work.
7 hours later and I drive home.
I get a nice hot shower and then buG arrives compliments of Grandpops.
Oh, and dinner arrives too!
Not just any dinner.
A dinner made by Mom.
My favorite kind of dinner!
But, even better than the dinner is the note that accompanies the meal.
Notes are a big part of our lives.
We both put notes in buG's lunch
and I have fond memories of them appearing in my lunch box too.
Soooo, it was so cool to get my own note tonight from my Mom!
I had a long day.
I had a very long day...
BUT the ending was perfect.

Thanks Mom!

(I feel like Jim Larkin tonight with all this writing, hee hee!)

Wish I was coming home to a meal like that.
Instead I'm having chicken soup out of the can to try to kick this headcold
I've developed.
: (
Hmm...think it needs a little bit of TLC in the ingredients list
to make it taste better.

I got notes too. They told me to shut the gate or remember the milk!
Your mum is the best, and so is Bug's....

Your Mom Rocks. Great families have the invisible cement bond of a strong mom keeping the nucleus together. My mom has been gone for 7 years but pictures I see on pbase and some of the words-poems-songs bring back memories in a flash flood of love. Keep the mom's on top of the priority stack in your life. Cheers to mom!
:o)

And I enjoyed your writing. It will take work to be like me. You will first have to masster rambling on and on and on and on, sometimes without really ever saying anything. ;)

That is so sweet. I am sorry you have to work so hard. And Mom and Bug are real sweethearts.

What would we do without moms? I came home tonight, dragging myself through the door, and found dinner AND a homemade cherry pie! Was this National Be Kind and Cook Dinner For Your Weary Daughter Day? If so, this could become my favorite holiday! I guess I should have taken a photo of the pie before I half demolished it.

Thanks Cindi! I sure hope so! My Dad use to write me poems and stick in my lunch! Her note for today....I made an eye, a heart and a bug....She said that she showed everyone at lunch and she says to me, "Mom, why didn't you just say I love you!"....gotta love kids!

Deb is the best! You are blessed and very loved. The notes are special and I will bet that Bug will pass on the tradition.
