Jack and Vickie
1-17-07

Very late and still no PaD...
So, I grabbed my Dad's yearbook and snapped a quick shot.
My Aunt Vick is next to him.
He was held back in elementary school and she was a year younger.
They would have graduated together, but he quit school with only a few months to go in his Senior Year.
A regret he held onto many years later.
Posting this tonight for my sister, Evelyn....who had a bad day.
Hope this brings happy tears to you when you see it.
Love ya, sis.

Ah - to be young again and know what I know now!
We were 15 months apart and grew up very close. Of course, he was a lot ornrier than me!
What brings me most comfort when I miss my brother so much is to contemplate that he beholds the face of Almighty God! How could we ever wish he was back here when he is now in paradise! However, Heaven has probably never been the same since he arrived - the angels probably have their wings tied together and he is probably holding snakes and frogs in the Saints' faces! Remember - we WILL see him again! Love you guys!

Don't you love photos of photos? They're so tough to take too! You're really getting the hang of this b/w!

As I just told Jax in comment to her pix w/Dad, Give me a day or two and I will post my continuation of Dad's poem. It's gonna be hard since I can barely read it without breaking down but I think the time is right! I Love You, Big Sis!

I can see the family resemblance in there...

Really hoping this cheers up Evelyn
and brings a smile to her face.
