It is hard for me to believe that it has been one full year since starting this photo-a-day project. At the beginning, I thought that it would be a burden to take a photo every single day, but hoping that this burden would improve my discipline as well as my photographic skills. However, for the most part, it has become a wonderfully natural part of the day.
This past year has been very eventful. There have been times of elation as well as periods of heartbreak. I have encountered many challenges but also had experiences that have inspired me. Very few days were just days.
I thought I would complete this project with a self-portrait. This is a quick snapshot of how I have been ending most of my days. It has afforded me a few moments of self-reflection, a luxury in a hectic life. A few days ago, I walked through each of the photos from this past year and reviewed each “journal” entry. There have been difficulties but for the most part, I live a blessed life…a life full of rich experiences supported by loving people.
Thank you for everyone who have stopped by and left words of encouragement. I must express appreciation to those who have touched and enriched my life in so many ways.
It's time to end this project and this day...no fanfare or celebration. It's just time to go to sleep. Tomorrow, anyway, is a new day.
