It was a fulfilling day.
Over four years ago, we started an adaptive, therapeutic, indoor rock climbing program for children with disabilities ( http://www.peakpotentialclimbing.com/ ). Back then, Peak Potential was simply a few friends who wanted to make life a little more fun for children with special needs.
The program has grown purely out of the generosity of many people, individuals I'm honored to consider my friends.
We took a big step today, kinda out over an unknown. Peak Potential sponsored its first workshop for pediatric physical and occupational therapists to introduce them to rock climbing. I was very happy to see the number of therapists who gave up their Saturday to investigate something that they thought might be a benefit for their clients. It was great to climb with these dedicated individuals. It was also uplifting to see how many volunteers made it out for this extra day to help make the experience more pleasant for the therapists.
Thanks, everyone, for the morale boost. It helped me more than anyone may know.
