Yikes, Friday the 13th! I had this idea to stage a photo involving walking under ladders, umbrellas indoors, black cats, and spilled salt. Then I realized that I didn't have a black cat. On a day like this, black cats are in short supply since they're all out causing bad luck for people. I would have balked anyway because I can't risk getting bad luck being involved in any of the above scenarios.
I had another idea but where can you find a dirty, old hockey mask and a machete at this time of night. Again, all are being used by homicidal psychos who just won't die.
Then, I saw Alice working on this project. Alice is quite brave or, rather, she has no regard for superstitions. Here she is, launching on a project to assemble a file cabinet ordered from Crate and Barrel. She sees a well-organized pile of necessary components for her project. I see tragedy around each corner! Screws to step on, small parts to choke on, power drills out of control...the dangers are endless! The most scary thing would be to be almost finished with the assembly only to discover that you are one dowel short! I guess that's why the instructions always say to count the parts before you start assembly...but, how many of us actually do that.
I'm going to go upstairs to help Alice, now, but first I'll find my safety glasses and my lucky rabbit's foot.
