Modern

Garbage bin powered by solar to compact trash, thus reducing pick up frequency. It even sends a message to City Hall when it's full.
The colourful exterior is part of the Cabinet wrap program aimed at beautifying utility boxes.

Never seen solar garbage cans, but what a great idea. Good find and well captured.

Very nice idea!

Neat idea and image; however, if it is run on solar power, it probably shouldn't be placed in the shade of a tree. Sounds expensive and complicated to me. What if there is no sun for a week.??? Would also not reduce pick-up costs much as the same weight of material still has to be picked up, so why not just compress it in the regular garbage trucks?

I like the approach of your city in this aspect.

What to recycle, and what not to can be confusing, especially if you are in another area where they can recycle a range of different materials.

Such an attractive trash can! Great idea that it can compact the refuse too!

A great idea, I just hope we can find away to dispose of all our trash. V
