Every year, the traditional fishing fleet, made of wood, with some metallic applications would be grounded in winter, for repairs and painting. When they start the season, around March/April, depending, they would be very brightly coloured.
But soon, around June/July, the corroding actions of the Atlantic Ocean would take the toll, and when they reached September, the end on the good weather, they were again in need of a deep repair.
Unfortunately now, since the 1990's the fishing fleet has been drastically reduced, and the boats replaced by bigger aluminium or carbon fibre ones, completely and absolutely uninteresting...
