For a very short time, TAP used to fly to Tel Aviv, Israel. They used the Airbus A310, but on my return, they changed it for a A340. I was very happy.
I thought security would be easier with TAP, pretty much the same as El Al. The funny part, I travelled with 1 of my Students who was also my Friend, because my gf of the time could not. Marco was extremely homophobic, and the stupid security people were insisting we were a gay couple! He was really fuming, until the moment I could explain all! So funny!
