Rolleimarin Camera Housing

Some have inquired as to the type of housing used in many of the following pictures. The Rolleimarin housing is no longer available and many of you diver/photographers may never have seen one of these housings. My diving partner, Joe Thompson, is shown using this housing with an attached flash. Bulbs only were the order of the day then. The flash could be mounted on either side of the housing or two flash units could be attached. A 22.5V battery provided the power.
Not all of the controls are attached to the camera in this picture, but it will give you a good idea of how the Rolleimarin housing looks and what controls were available. Focusing was done on a ground glass screen and parallax corrected. The close-up lens also corrected for the displacement between the viewing and the taking lenses. The housing was aluminum and good to 300 feet.

Dale - Sorry but I have been away from this equipment for many years now and I do not have the info you need. Jack

Do you know where I might find a replacement viewing lens. Mine has an internal fracture from shipping and was used only once.

Do you still have Rolleimarin? How much? Thanks, Greg

Have one for sale, complete with flash and camera. Used once in fresh water ( lake titicaca)
