I was there in late 76-77 as a Sargeant I worked in BN HQ ,and then as a hvy equipment operator,I also worked as an instructor for Rec Ser in woodwork and leather crafts. I remember Terry, Winch the,photographer, Lionel and a few others..I remember the Theater,Craft Shop, and had a good time living in W.Germany.

I was at Rheinland Kaserne 76 - 79. and Loved it! Yeah, Alta Fritz was one of my off duty hang outs. I hope to go back one of these day’s!

I was at Rheinland Kaserne from 66-68...HHC 78th S-4...I have been back about 15 times or more...I married a girl from Ettlingen..My children all understand German since oma only speaks German at home..oh she does understand and speak english..I took pictures on the side door at the gate with my children..they all spent a year in Germany after high school..my youngest 2 years and did not want to come back...she did..I enjoyed my time there. I served with Dan Budde from Milan Ill and Braulio Dominquez from Corpus Christi Texas...after 53 years i found Gary Nuismer..I saw Kaserne pictures with his name on it..it rang a bell googled and found him. I was stationed at Rheinland Kaserne, Ettlingen 64-67. I was in Co. B 78 Engineer Bn. I have been to Smiley Kaserne many times. I to made E5. Would love to talk with you. My name is Jess Keopke,
I was stationed at the Rheinland Kaserne in Ettlingen in 1964. I was with the 502nd Engineer Floating Bridge company, and I am thrilled to find these pictures of the kaserne. I was transferred from the 502nd to the 55th Engineer Panel bridge company at Smiley Barracks in Karlsruhe after making SGT E5, and stayed at Smiley until I left Germany in late 1967.
