Cunard Princess joined her sister Cunard Countess in 1977. Replacing Cunard Ambassador and Adventurer, they continued Cunard's small effort to maintain a share of the casual-cruise market. Princess served as a troop transport in the Falklands. She was sold to StarLauro in 1995 as Rhapsody before being transferred to MSC under the same name.
