Tea trees are gown in the hills on the east side of the village. Tea oil serves as an excellent cooking oil and is expressed from the seeds of the tea tree. It has a heavy consistency and resists burning better than many oils. The oil is expressed in the village for local consumption and possibly sale when they have a good crop of tea tree seed.
