The local tobacco is often used in pipes but it does not light well. The plant called Baengx (bung) is dried and after the bowl is filled with tobacco, is placed on top and lit. Baengx is also used as tender for starting fires as it lights easily and is easy to store. Once this plant is dry it can be crushed and stored. The entire crumpled leaf burns well with a hot low flame that concentrates the heat. It lights easily and is very light when dried.
