It was hard to actually have the color as saturated as the real life animal. When I saw it I could not believe how bright, metalic gold and ornate it looked. What you see is as close as I could get. I did not saturate, enhance or change the coloration. This insect has an acrid defense that burns and it smells, really, really bad. :^) It was like a traveling defensive battleship with a bright sign that said, "evolution has taught you not to touch or taste me!"

Numbers 3, 4 and 5 are the closest to the actual color of this animal and number 1 and 2 are how it looks in more subdued light.
