Capt. Lucius L. Williams, CSA, was hardly home good when he took exception to the Northern financial baron, William Earl Dodge, taking his land and that of his neighbors. In the end, a price of 500 dollars was attached to his head, and he was shot at this house on May 20, 1895, and died the next day.
