This map shows the places where great events happened concerning the settlers, military, and Indians. Both forts where Osceola was imprisoned are shown - The Old Fort at St. Augustine (called Ft. Marion by the US) and Fort Moultrie at Charleston, SC. Fort King is shown - this is where Osceola killed and scalped General Wiley Thompson. Also the Coffee Road built by General John Coffee and Thomas Swain of Jacksonville, Ga., and the Blackshear Road, built by General David Blackshear, are shown.
