NOTE: Byrd Williams and Joseph Williams, Jr. were brothers. Byrd married Zilpha Williams, thought to be a daughter of John Williams, brother of Joseph, Sr. Thus, an instance of first cousins marrying. The practice was repeated when John, son of Byrd, married Elizabeth, daughter of Joseph, Jr.
