Glow

Tallahassee / Quincy, Florida

I love these “antique” lanterns. I really don’t know the history behind them, but the man that sold them to me said that they were from the 40’s. I’m not sure I believed him, … but then again I didn’t buy them because I thought they had value. Oh, … the total cost for all three lanterns? $16.00 bucks. Guess I got a good deal huh?

What a clever design, it look’s like they can be safely refilled while still alight and stay lit in a breeze. The engineer in me appreciates good design and aesthetics. I'd love a couple of these myself.
Nicely photographed too but what is the reflection in the nearest lamp.

These are cool, I like the lines & staggered feel to these. You catch candlelight so well John. ;D

Those are some pretty cool looking lanterns. It amazes me that that little stem can support the weight of the oil filled glass bulb. $16.00?!! That's a steal even if they were made yesterday.
