"H" is for "Heart"

Tallahassee / Quincy, Florida

Since today was the two year anniversary of John’s
triple bi-pass heart surgery, he decided to take a look
and see if everything was running okay.
The little guy seemed to be doing just fine.

It’s a Freaky Friday Self Portrait
A real man can laugh at himself.


Author’s note, … it was two years ago today that after living through two major heart attacks that scarred and killed part of my heart, the doctors decided to rip my chest open and do a triple bi-pass. It was touch and go for a while there, but I’m happy to report that I lived. I think I did. At any rate, I’m still kicking around, and am quite pleased about it. Life is good.

This reminds me of an episode of "The Twilight Zone" in which a guy discovers after an accident (damage to his wrist) that he is a robot. I can still see his skin peeled away, revealing wires and blinking lights. That was about 45 years ago: it's funny how some things become etched into one's brain. Good health to you!

Good to see you have a sense of humor about it. This is really funny and great PS work. FWIW, my uncle had a triple by pass when they were first doing them, lived another 25 years and died of cancer. Not that I think you're going to get cancer. Just that you're good as new. Maybe I should just shut up. :)

Is *that* what they do in there. They never told me after mine -- they just said exercise and avoid large hungry snakes unless I wanted to experience "the big squeeze" again. I wondered why I acquired an intense desire for cheese.

Let's hope that mouse never tires! I'd sure hate to lose my best friend. Definitely need to keep my snakes away from him now. John sure got lucky when he escaped from that giant boa.

Congratulations on completing year two, my friend. Let's see if we can extend that to 20 or so!
