Tallahassee / Quincy, Florida

This is the Buck knife model 191 called Buck Zipper. It’s a Fixed-blade hunting knife with patented gut-hook for field dressing game, polished brass butt and guard, and a woodgrain handle. It is 6.3 oz, eight & one half inch overall with a four & one eighth inch blade. This particular knife of mine is somewhat of a collector’s item, for it’s stamped “Patent Pending”, … the patent was granted years ago. I purchased mine the first year they were on the market before the US patent office had even issued the patent for this beautiful tool. The cost of this little jewel if you were to buy a new one from Buck Knives is $109.00. As you can see, mine is in absolute mint condition, shiny bright and razor-blade sharp.
A man takes care of his knives.

(mental note to self: Check Johns PAD tommorrow to See Geries reply,
hmm.. sure it's a 'feminine' thing to play with fire? considering the
many types of fire there is... ;)

Dawn, fires out of control are not a masculine thing. They're a feminine thing, ... more specifically, a "my wife" thing. No doubt she will post some fire damage images on her site, ... and no doubt will in someway try to shift the blame around to me. That's a feminine thing too you know. Because I was actually alive and on the property at the time, (even though I was in the studio working HARD and nowhere near her fire after she had gone into the house to putter), … she will see it as my “fault”. (Sigh.) This too is a masculine thing, … being falsely accused.

Hey John, that is a cool looking blade there.
I like how you displayed it on the wood post,
bringing up the detailing on the handle.
(What? no post fire pictures?)

I agree, a very nice knive. You man sure have a passion for dangerous equipment. Great shot, I love how you displayed this.
