I have been attempting to take this photo for more than a month. The sun is usually rising as I walk eastward
down Eastcheap on my way to the office. Today, the time, the clouds and the colour were just right.
The church that is silhouetted against the sky is All Hallows By The Tower, from which Samuel Pepys watched
the Great Fire of London in 1666. Most of what you see was rebuilt after bomb damage suffered during World War II.
The smaller towers to the right are part of the White Tower, which is the inner-most structure of the Tower of London.
