_MG_0810 No time to think

Grabbed my camera when I saw this guy on the suet plate. Unfortunately, there was no card in it. By the time I got the card, he flew off and was almost out of range. This is severely cropped. Hint: The eye glints were barely visible in this image. I zoomed in on the eyes in Photoshop, chose the Dodge tool and set it for 100% and "highlights" and clicked in the glint area to lighten it. Glints are important!

How lucky you are to have them and adding the slight glint certainly gave it more life.

What a beautiful photo. Cute little bird, and the highlights look great.

An Eastern Blue Bird... You're very lucky Isabel, ther are not that many around. I had a couple who spent last summer here in my gardens... They're cousin to the Robins. They have a "funny"particularity, they like to make their nest on top of old fence posts, those that are "empty" in the middle ! I always thought it was not a very protective way to make a nest... but they must know something I don't !
