Pretty sure that's what it is. They are constrictors.
Shiny skinned creatures are hard to photograph. I toned down the reflections with a highlight adjustment in Photoshop CS2. In focus area of head and part of the body was selected and sharpened. There was a heavy blue cast to this and I desaturated it.
