i like the top one best because my eye is drawn to the cat more than the bottom one (more contrast in frame and tablecloth in the bottom one; i find distracting).

I like the tone and noise in the top one but I like the contrast in the bottom. If I had to pick one it would be the top photo. Thank you for sharing these techniques.

I think the bottom one is slightly better. The highlights are not as sharp

To be honest I don't see any difference and I really spent some time examining them they look the same to me . I really liked the original one in color best!

I think the bottom one has the edge with a little more range and contrast, but they are close. Now I will apologize in advance for a stupid comment... I know that cats are totally unpredictable and you have to catch them when you can (I also have a couple).. but if you were on the other side of the table I think you would have seen the cat and it's reflection in the mirror. I am reminded of a shot in an advertisement that had a cat looking at a reflective surface and a tiger looking back. Regards. Ralph M

I feel the bottom one gives more detail in Loui's fur, thus is a bit more interesting.

I like the bottom one the best. It looks to me like it has a tiny bit more contrast.

I like the top image best. It just looks more natural to me. Sorry I can't be more technical.
