Chaos

Who says yellow jackets don't have a purpose! This hornworm had been previously attacked by a braconid wasp which I think killed it. There were white cocoons hanging from the outside of its body. The cacoons feed on its flesh. Yech!

Yellowjackets, not my favorite. I stepped in a nest of them when I was five years old. I can still remember my mother running up and grabbing me off the rock wall where the nest was and putting me in the bathtub. Cool photo though.
