This will certainly help the tired green onions I find at Aldi...you know the ones where you have to keep stripping off the dying blades.

After I use the green tops of these onions, I plant the bottoms, so that when I don't have whole green onions in the house I can go out to the deck and cut off what I need. I assume they will continue growing in the jar as well. They will grow all summer until they freeze.
