Seriously....

People are taking this coronavirus thing seriously and are in panic buying mode. This sight greeted us as we entered the supermarket this afternoon. Many of the shelves are bare or nearly so.

Chez nous aussi les magasins sont presque vide tout comme les rayons de marchandises.

This is panic buying! Same here in Ottawa. Although there is more on your shelves than ours, at least in some of the stores!

This all reminds me of the 1960's when there was a nuclear stand-off 'ween JFK and Russia with their nuclear bombs in Cuba. People then were building nuclear shelters, hording food and arms for survival in case of a nuclear war … In this case, I just don't understand this toilet paper hording … I mean, how much paper does one need to wipe their butt? Just stay home, practice good hygiene and for us old foggies, just, lay low!

Looks like you had more than we did, as shown in a recent picture. I will say that there wasn't a shortage of fruits and vegetables, although paper products and pasta were nonexistent at our supermarket.
