Milkweed Seeds Drying

At left are seeds from the compact orange asclepias tuberosa and at right from the tall pink-flowered asclepais syriaca.

Looking forward to making seed bombs as I had seen being made at the Arboretum's Butterfly Day.

I not only collected the tall pink-flowered asclepias syriaca seed, but also much shorter orange asclepias tuberosa. Will also fill the bombs with Pennington's Hummingbird and Butterfly Garden Wildflower Seed Mix, available at Lowe's.

I think I posted this before, but here's a wonderful seed-bomb presentation I captured at the Western North Carolina Arboretum earlier this fall. If you have a nice sunny patch of bare soil it would be perfect to bomb. That's going to be a problem for us, since we're pretty heavily mulched. I'll just have to push some of that aside.

Wish I could find a smaller bag of mushroom compost than they had at Lowe's. Kitty Litter won't be a problem.
